Clubs in Saudi Arabia line up £17m offers for Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to a report.

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is reportedly wanted by teams in Saudi Arabia.

The 31-year-old made the move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022 after an impressive spell at Brentford, and he has been an important player for the Red Devils over the last 18 months.

Eriksen has represented the 20-time English champions on 59 occasions in all competitions, scoring three goals and registering 12 assists in the process.

This season, the midfielder has made 15 appearances at club level, contributing one goal and two assists in the process, but he is currently out of action due to the knee injury that he suffered during the team's 1-0 win over Luton Town before the international break.

Eriksen was forced off shortly before the interval against Luton, and it was later confirmed that he had suffered a knee problem which would keep him on the sidelines for the next month.

The Denmark international is close to entering the final 18 months of his contract at Man United, and there is currently speculation surrounding his future.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, various clubs in Saudi Arabia are keeping a close eye on the attacker's future, and he could potentially be the subject of offers in the region of €20m (£17m).

Eriksen has scored once and provided one assist in 11 Premier League appearances this season, while he has also contributed one assist in four Champions League appearances.

Man United are currently well-stocked in central midfield, but it is an area which is expected to undergo an overhaul in the next few transfer windows.

Sofyan Amrabat is only on loan at the club from Fiorentina, and there have been claims that he could head back to his parent club at the end of the campaign.

Casemiro is also facing an uncertain future, with the Brazil captain said to be wanted by clubs in Saudi Arabia, while Donny van de Beek is also set to move on in 2024.

As a result, Man United could move for a couple of midfielders next summer, with Benfica's Joao Neves believed to be high on their wishlist when it comes to targets in that area of the field.

Scott McTominay was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford during the recent transfer window, but he remained at the club and has become a vital player under Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo, 18, is viewed as an important part of the club's plans moving forward, and Bruno Fernandes also allegedly has no desire to leave despite being linked with a lucrative exit. body check tags ::
