Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos addresses the recent speculation surrounding his future by insisting that he wants to "retire" at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has insisted that he will not be leaving Los Blancos in this summer's transfer window and wants to "retire" at the Bernabeu.

The 33-year-old admitted to having received an offer from a Chinese Super League outfit but has also confirmed that he will not be leaving the European champions this summer, despite the recent speculation surrounding his future.

"It is true that I have an offer from China on the table, I will not lie about it," Ramos told reporters. "My dream is to retire here. At no moment did I consider going to China.

"Yesterday I went to see the president to make everything clear. I told the president that I would never go to a team that could compete with Real Madrid.

"If one day I go then it is because I think my body does not allow me to give a high level. I am the captain of Real Madrid and I feel very loved and supported by my teammates. I'm not looking to renew [my contract]. I am happy with what I have. People always think it's a strategy to earn more, but it's the opposite."

Ramos has been with Los Blancos since 2005, making more than 600 appearances in all competitions for the capital giants, winning four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies and four Champions League crowns.

Liverpool and Manchester United had also both been linked with moves for the centre-back.
