Benjamin Sesko's agent has fuelled suggestions that his client could be on the move to the Premier League during this summer's transfer window.

There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the RB Leipzig forward, with both Arsenal and Chelsea believed to be keen to sign him, while Manchester United are also thought to be closely monitoring the developments.

Sesko only made the move to Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg last summer, penning a contract with the Bundesliga outfit until the summer of 2028.

The 20-year-old has been in strong form for his German club during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 15 goals and registering two assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Sesko has 11 Bundesliga goals to his name this term, while he only managed to score twice in the Champions League before Leipzig were eliminated from the competition by Real Madrid.

Benjamin Sesko 'could move to the Premier League this summer'

Sesko's agent Elvis Basanovic has dropped a hint over a potential move to the Premier League for his client, having posted an image of himself at the Emirates Stadium last week for the clash between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Basanovic was in the members-only lounge at the famous stadium, although there are no suggestions that any transfer talks took place during his visit to Arsenal's ground.

Leipzig are believed to be bracing themselves for summer bids from England, though, with both Arsenal and Chelsea in the market for new centre-forwards.

The same also be said for Man United, with the 20-time English champions believed to have a long-standing interest in Sesko, who scored 29 times and registered 11 assists in 79 appearances for Salzburg before making the move to Germany.

Who are the favourites to sign Sesko?

There is believed to be a £43m release clause in Sesko's Leipzig contract, so the transfer fee is not expected to be a problem this season for interested clubs.

Sesko will want big money in terms of wages, but his salary demands will also not be particularly problematic for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United due to their financial power.

Chelsea and Man United are always confident when they enter transfer battles, but the pair will both be absent from the Champions League next season, which is a big problem.

Arsenal, though, will again operate in the European Cup in 2024-25, and they could enter their next European campaign as the defending Premier League champions.

Sesko might well believe that his best chance of success in the near future will come at Arsenal, but both Chelsea and Man United will be expecting to get back to winning major trophies in the not too distant future. body check tags ::
