Birmingham City are on the verge of signing former West Ham United defender Jonathan Spector.
Blues manager Chris Hughton is keen to bring the 25-year-old to St Andrew's after his contract expired over the summer, according to Sky Sports News.
Birmingham have released a number of players over the summer including the sale of defender Roger Johnson to Wolverhampton Wanderers for £7m.
Spector had spells at Manchester United and Charlton Athletic before signing for the Hammers in 2006.
