Sporting Lisbon chiefs Frederico Varandas and Hugo Viana have reportedly arrived in Manchester to hold talks with Ed Woodward over a move to Old Trafford for Bruno Fernandes.
Widespread reports claim that Manchester United, who have pursued Fernandes for over a year, are close to securing a £60m deal for the midfielder.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is particularly keen to sign a midfielder in this window following medium-term injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.
According to Record, Varandas and Viana have held talks with Woodward in order to push through a move for the Portuguese.
Despite signing a new long-term contract over the summer, Fernandes is said to be 'desperate' to move to Old Trafford this month.
