Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly pressing ahead with their attempts to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
Ndombele has emerged as one of European football's most sought-after midfielders, partly due to standout performances against Manchester City and Barcelona in the Champions League.
The 22-year-old has acknowledged that he is open minded regarding an exit from Lyon, who remain keen to keep the Frenchman for at least another season.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with Ndombele, but The Sun claims that Spurs are now in pole position to secure a deal this summer.
Spurs are allegedly aiming to sign Ndombele for a fee in the region of £50m, despite previous suggestions that the player could cost as much as £70m.
Meanwhile, the North London outfit are also said to be the frontrunners to bring Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes to the Premier League.
