Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Giuseppe Rossi as a potential January signing.
An injury to Harry Kane has resulted in Spurs considering their options in attack, and it appears likely that Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to secure a replacement for the club's top goalscorer.
Kane is due back in March so Spurs are likely to be against spending a large fee at the midway point of the campaign, but according to Tuttosport, the North London outfit hold an interest in Rossi.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since the end of last season, but the former Italy frontman has recently been training with ex-club Manchester United and is looking for a new club.
Any move could potentially suit both parties, although they may keep their options open with two weeks still remaining before the end of the transfer window.
