Former England striker Chris Sutton has told Harry Kane that he would be "stupid" not to join Liverpool or Manchester City if he leaves Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane fuelled speculation that he could leave Spurs earlier this week when he admitted that he would not stay at the club "for the sake of it" if he felt that they were not making progress towards silverware.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Man City are among the clubs to have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, and Sutton urged Kane to take the opportunity should a team with more chance of winning trophies make an approach.
"I can understand the predicament he is in. But if he wants to win the Premier League, then he should move on and go to a club who have better chance of winning it than Spurs do," Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"We all understand he wants to win something. So if he wants to win something, I wouldn't begrudge him a move.
"Spurs are a brilliant club, but at this moment in time they are way behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. If one of those clubs came in for him, if you were Harry Kane you would be be stupid not to go."
Kane has scored 181 goals in 278 appearances for Spurs.
