Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has revealed that the club want to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are currently low on central striking options after they mutually terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
While the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford can play down the middle, Ten Hag has confirmed that United are keen to strengthen in the final third when he was questioned about the possibility of signing a forward in January.
As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag said: "Yes, but only when we find the right player. We do everything in our power.
"We are doing research on every opportunity and we do everything we can if that opportunity is there to contract them."
United were linked with a possible move for PSV Eindoven forward Cody Gakpo during the summer, and although no transfer materialised, they are still believed to be interested in the Dutchman.
They are also considering Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, who made headlines when he scored a hat-trick during Portugal's 6-1 win over Switzerland at the World Cup.
