Teenagers Samuel Lusale and James Overy have completed moves to Manchester United from Crystal Palace and Perth Glory respectively.

Having received clearance from the Premier League and Football Association, Man United have now officially confirmed the signatures of the duo, who will initially link up with the Under-18s.

Lusale, 17, is a Slovakia youth international, and the right-sided attacker made eight appearances for Palace Under-18s during his time at Selhurst Park.

A number of clubs are believed to have been interested in his signature, but the 20-time English champions have won the race to sign him.

Man United sign Lusale, Overy

There are currently no suggestions that Lusale will be involved in first-team training sessions, but strong performances for the Under-18s would likely see him catch the eye of senior team manager Erik ten Hag.

The signing of Overy is also regarded as a huge coup for Man United, with the 17-year-old believed to have been wanted by a number of major European teams.

The right-back had represented Austrian outfit Perth Glory before making the move to England alongside his family, and he had been turning out for non-league team Newton Abbot Spurs.

Overy has updated his Instagram account to reflect his move to Man United, and it is believed that a deal was agreed back in May, but the Red Devils had been waiting for the necessary clearance.

According to A Leagues, Overy came to the attention of a number of Premier League clubs with his performance for Perth Glory's youth side against West Ham United in July 2023.

Have Man United signed wonderkid Obi Martin?

Man United are still yet to confirm a deal for wonderkid Chido Obi Martin, who scored 32 goals in 18 league matches for Arsenal Under-18s last season.

The 16-year-old has left Arsenal, and Denmark Under-18s head coach Morten Eskesen recently added to the confusion by revealing that the forward "doesn't have a club".

The deal is subject to the Premier League five-step investigation, which is required when a player switches between two Category One academies, and journalist Christopher Michel recently claimed that a court could be required to determine the fee owed to Arsenal.

It is a complicated situation, but Man United are still thought to be extremely confident that they will be able to sign Obi Martin, who managed 28 goals in his last nine games of last season for Arsenal Under-18s. body check tags ::
