Manchester United are reportedly regarded as one of the most likely destinations for Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi.
The Germany international is currently in his third campaign at Westfalenstadion having initially impressed at Red Bull Salzburg.
Adeyemi has been regarded as a top performer for some time, yet he has not reached the heights or consistency of his time in Austria.
A total of 16 goals and 10 assists have come from his 70 outings in all competitions, albeit three of those contributions being recorded in his first three Bundesliga appearances of this campaign.
Nevertheless, despite having three years remaining on his contract, Adeyemi continues to be linked with a potential move away from Dortmund.
Man United monitoring the situation
As per a report by TEAMtalk, United are currently among the clubs who are most likely to move for the 22-year-old.
The report suggests that there is more chance of the Red Devils making an approach for Adeyemi than their Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Sporting director Dan Ashworth is said to have placed Adeyemi among a number of targets on a shortlist ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.
Further to Man United and Liverpool, Newcastle United - Ashworth's former club - also allegedly hold what is described as a genuine interest in Adeyemi.
Dortmund would reportedly struggle to reject a proposal for Adeyemi should it be made by any of the trio, his valuation said to be in the region of £25m during the off-season.
Who needs Adeyemi more?
Of the three, Arne Slot seems well-stocked for options at Liverpool with the acquisition of Federico Chiesa having made it six versatile world-class attackers at his disposal.
Man United and Newcastle could benefit far more, the latter potentially looking for an alternative to Antony depending on how the Brazilian fares this season.
The Magpies would likely require a return to European football to tempt Adeyemi to St James' Park, although his attributes suit the demands of the club's fanbase.
