Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly not entertain any discussions surrounding Harry Kane's future this summer amid suggestions of interest from Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga champions are expected to lose Robert Lewandowski this summer, with the Poland international pushing to join Barcelona before the end of the window.
According to Kicker, Bayern view Kane as a possible replacement for Lewandowski, who was again in excellent form at club level last season, scoring 50 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, 'there is no discussion, negotiation or talk' surrounding Kane, as Spurs consider him 'untouchable' and will not sell for any price.
Romano also claims that the North London giants are planning to open talks with Kane over a new deal in the near future in the hope of committing him to the club until the latter stages of his career.
Tottenham came close to losing Kane last summer, with Manchester City pushing to bring the England captain to the Etihad Stadium.
The Citizens were ultimately priced out of a deal for the 28-year-old, though, and the English champions have now brought in Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund as their number one centre-forward.
Kane ended the 2021-22 campaign with 27 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, including 17 goals and nine assists in the Premier League, as Antonio Conte's side finished fourth in the table.
The striker's desire to leave Tottenham last summer was thought to be largely down to a determination to challenge for the biggest trophies during the remainder of his career.
However, it is believed that Kane is now confident that Spurs can fight for silverware under Conte, who has been backed with new signings during this summer's transfer window.
Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Clement Lenglet have all arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, and the club are still believed to be in the market for more new signings.
Kane's existing deal at Spurs is due to expire in June 2024, and a proposed new agreement would likely take the England international deep into his 30s.
The centre-forward has now found the back of the net on 248 occasions in 386 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, in addition to contributing 59 assists.
Kane has now been Tottenham's leading goalscorer in each of the last eight seasons, while he is only 18 goals behind Jimmy Greaves, who is the club's all-time highest goalscorer with 266.
Bayern have also been linked with a move for the unsettled Cristiano Ronaldo as a replacement for Lewandowski, but it is understood that the German champions do not currently view the Manchester United forward as a target despite the recent speculation. body check tags ::
