Tottenham Hotspur have supposedly become the latest club to join the race for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.
The 22-year-old - who has already won the Europa League with Sevilla - is supposedly being eyed up by top clubs across the continent following another impressive campaign under Julen Lopetegui.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid are all thought to be in the hunt for Kounde's signature, and a recent report claimed that the Blues are now leading the race for the defender.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims in The Guardian that managerless Tottenham have also taken an interest in Kounde as they seek to bolster their defensive ranks.
Romano adds that Sevilla will likely accept a lower figure than his £69m release clause, and Tottenham have an alternative lined up in the form of Lyon's Joachim Andersen.
Kounde earned a place in France's Euro 2020 squad after his stellar campaign last term, and he played the full 90 minutes during Les Bleus' 2-2 draw with Portugal in midweek. body check tags ::
