Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre next year.
The 22-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all believed to be keen to bring him to the Premier League.
Andre, who is a two-time Brazil international, has a contract with his current side until December 2026, but he will allegedly be allowed to depart in 2024.
The midfielder helped his side win the Copa Libertadores earlier this month courtesy of a 2-1 win over Argentina giants Boca Juniors, and he will also represent Fluminense at the Club World Cup in December.
According to 90min, Spurs have now expressed an interest in his signature, with the North London club hoping to convince him to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report claims that a transfer in January is possible, with offers in the region of £30m likely to be seriously considered by his Brazilian club.
However, whether Tottenham have a chance of signing Andre in the winter window could depend on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with the midfielder currently being heavily linked with a switch to Juventus.
Man United, meanwhile, would allegedly only be in a position to move for the South American in January if they are able to move on Casemiro amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
Andre has featured on 163 occasions for Fluminense in all competitions, scoring four goals and registering three assists in the process.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt has said that he is expecting to receive a club-record bid for the midfielder after the Club World Cup.
"We are waiting. Today, there is no concrete proposal for Andre," Bittencourt told Ge. Globo. "But we are sure that after the World Cup - he will play in the World Cup - a stratospheric proposal will arrive.
"It could be the biggest sale in the club's history. We could possibly lose both (Andre and defender Nino), but we are working to replace them."
Tottenham's absence from Europe this season could harm their chances of signing Andre, but Spurs have impressed this season under new head coach Ange Postecoglou.
Liverpool were thought to be the closest to signing the midfielder over the summer, meanwhile, and Jurgen Klopp's side are also believed to be preparing to revisit a potential move in 2024. body check tags ::
