Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid for €30m (£27.4m).
The 23-year-old excelled during a loan spell at Sevilla last season and has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days.
The Red Devils were allegedly unwilling to agree to a buy-back clause, however, which allowed Tottenham to move into pole position to sign the left-sided defender.
According to Marca, Reguilon is heading for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a €30m (£27.4m) deal, which could be announced on Thursday once a medical has been completed.
The report claims that Los Blancos will have the option of re-signing the Spaniard at any point for a figure believed to be in the region of €35m (£32m).
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has revealed that Spurs are "close" to securing a return for the Wales international.
