Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Manchester United winger Anthony Martial after identifying the Frenchman as one of their main transfer targets this summer.
Martial is understood to be considering leaving Old Trafford in search of more regular first-team football, having seen his playing time limited following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January.
The 22-year-old missed out on France's World Cup squad as a result, increasing speculation that he could look to leave United during the current transfer window.
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham are the frontrunners for Martial's signature, with Mauricio Pochettino having earmarked the winger as one of his priority targets.
However, the two clubs are thought to be some way apart in their valuation of the player, with United hoping to recoup as much of the £58m they paid for Martial in 2015.
Martial has made 136 appearances for United over the past three seasons, scoring 36 goals.
