Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to battle Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele.

The 24-year-old was an impressive form for his Bundesliga club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring twice and contributing five assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.

Mukiele's contract with Leipzig is due to expire next June, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few months.

Man United are said to be interested in the right-back, with Ralf Rangnick, who is now a consultant for the club after his role as interim manager, believed to have recommended that the Red Devils sign him.

Meanwhile, PSG have also been heavily linked with the France international, who scored once and provided four assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances last term.

According to The Mirror, there is also firm interest from Tottenham, with Antonio Conte's side determined to bring him to North London during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Leipzig are prepared to sell Mukiele for the right price in the upcoming market in order to raise money to reinvest in their side.

The German club are believed to be looking for a fee in the region of £17m for the defender, with Atletico Madrid also said to be keeping a close eye on the developments.

Mukiele also played six times in the Champions League for Leipzig during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing one goal and one assist, featuring against Manchester City, Club Brugge and PSG.

Spurs boss Conte is widely expected to remain with the club this summer despite the recent speculation surrounding his future, and the Italian will allegedly be backed in the transfer market.

Tottenham are believed to be closing in on the signature of Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, while Southampton's Fraser Forster is also allegedly heading for the club as a number two goalkeeper.

Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni has also been strongly linked with a switch to Spurs, who are also expected to keep hold of Harry Kane this summer.

A recent report claimed that Kane, who attempted to push through a move to Manchester City last summer, is open to signing a new deal in North London, with the team enjoying a strong end to the 2021-22 campaign, finishing fourth in the Premier League to secure Champions League football for next term.

Kane's current deal is due to expire in June 2024, but the England captain is not believed to be looking to leave the club during this summer's transfer window despite going another year without a trophy.

Tottenham confirmed a top-four spot in this season's Premier League courtesy of their 5-0 win over basement side Norwich City on the final matchday of the campaign. body check tags ::
