Bayern Munich have reportedly come to an agreement with Fulham over a deal for Joao Palhinha.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Portugal international's future during the summer market, with a number of clubs believed to have expressed an interest in his signature.
Bayern have recently emerged as the leading candidates for the midfielder, though, and according to journalist Pedro Almeida, an agreement has now been reached over a move to Allianz Arena.
Almeida claims that Bayern will pay €65m (£55.6m) for the 28-year-old, who made the move to Craven Cottage from Sporting Lisbon during the summer of 2022.
Palhinha was in excellent form for Marco Silva's side during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring four times in 40 appearances in all competitions.
The Portuguese is also off the mark in terms of goals for the new season, registering against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday to secure a point for Fulham.
Silva's team are now said to be looking at possible replacements for Palhinha, with the club believed to have been in touch with Manchester Untied to discuss a potential deal for Scott McTominay.
Meanwhile, Everton are reportedly back in talks with Leeds United over a potential deal for Wilfried Gnonto.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the attacker's future this summer, but he is still at Leeds heading towards Friday's 11pm transfer deadline.
Everton have been linked with Gnonto heavily in recent weeks despite his Championship club maintaining that he will not be leaving during the current market.
According to Sky Sports News, the Toffees have reignited discussions with Leeds in the hope that an agreement can be reached before the window closes.
The report claims that Everton are 'refusing to give up' when it comes to the 19-year-old, who has another four years left to run on his contract at Elland Road.
Gnonto has scored once in three appearances for Leeds during the 2023-24 campaign, with his goal coming against Ipswich Town in the Championship last weekend.
The teenager also made a positive impression during a difficult 2022-23 season for the Whites, scoring two goals and registering four assists in 24 Premier League appearances.
Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in discussions with Southampton over a deal for Che Adams in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.
Adams had been heavily linked with a move to Everton before the Toffees moved onto other targets.
The Scotland international could still be set for a return to the Premier League before the window closes, though, with Wolves believed to be in talks over a move.
According to Football Insider, discussions are currently taking place over a potential switch to Molineux, while Bournemouth are also being kept informed of the developments.
The report claims that the battle for the forward could go to the final stages of the transfer window, with Crystal Palace also not ruling out a late move.
The 27-year-old, who is out of contract at St Mary's next summer, has scored three times in three Championship appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
However, the striker was not involved in Southampton's last league game against Queens Park Rangers amid the speculation surrounding his future.
Adams has managed 34 goals and 15 assists in 149 matches for the Saints, including 25 goals and 14 assists in 124 outings in the Premier League. body check tags ::
