Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof will reportedly all leave Manchester United on free transfers next summer.

Evans was brought in as back-up at Old Trafford for the 2023-24 campaign, but defensive injuries led to the experienced centre-back making 30 appearances in all competitions, including 23 outings in the Premier League.

The 36-year-old penned another one-year contract over the summer, but he is not expected to feature this season on a regular basis unless the club have a significant injury crisis in the middle of their defence.

Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt both arrived over the summer, while Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez are also ahead of Evans in the pecking order.

Lindelof is also yet to play this season due to a toe injury, but he is also below the likes of Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez and Maguire in the thoughts of head coach Erik ten Hag.

Eriksen, Evans, Lindelof 'all set to leave Man United'

Lindelof was strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the summer, but he remained with the club past the European transfer deadline.

The 30-year-old made 28 appearances last season, while he has featured on 259 occasions for the 20-time English champions in total since arriving from Benfica.

Lindelof has found it difficult to show his best form for the club, though, and according to Fichajes, he will be leaving on a free transfer next year alongside Evans.

Eriksen, meanwhile, will also allegedly be on his way out, with the Denmark international not expected to be offered a fresh deal by the English giants.

Eriksen, Lindelof were linked with summer transfers

Eriksen has only played four minutes of football for Man United this season, and he is likely to find it even more difficult in the coming weeks due to the arrival of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.

Casemiro has been linked with a switch to Turkey following his difficulties against Liverpool last time out, but the Brazilian will be staying at Old Trafford.

Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes are certainties in the middle of midfield, meanwhile, so Eriksen is expected to find it tough to secure regular action this season.

A January exit for the 32-year-old is not impossible, although it remains to be seen whether any club is willing to pay a transfer fee for him.

Eriksen arrived at Man United on a free transfer in 2022 off the back of an impressive spell at Brentford, and he has represented the 20-time English champions on 73 occasions, scoring three times and providing 13 assists in the process. body check tags ::
