Aston Villa have reportedly been told by Manchester United that they will not be able to sign Axel Tuanzebe on a permanent deal in this summer's transfer window.
Tuanzebe impressed for Villa during the 2018-19 campaign, making 30 appearances during his second loan spell at Villa Park.
Dean Smith's side are reportedly keen to land the 21-year-old on a permanent deal this summer following their promotion to the Premier League, but according to The Mirror, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to hand Tuanzebe a full pre-season with the Red Devils.
The England Under-21 international, who came through the youth system at Old Trafford, has only made eight first-team appearances for his parent club.
Five of Tuanzebe's United appearances came during the 2016-17 campaign, which was also the season that the defender made his debut for the 20-time English champions.
