Manchester United are reportedly keen on a summer move for Borussia Dortmund centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Mourinho has been devoid of defensive options at times this season due to different injuries, and it is thought that the Portuguese coach is keen to add more options at the back during the summer.
According to The Mirror, United have sent scouts to watch Dortmund defender Papastathopoulos at different points this season, ahead of a potential move for the £20m-rated centre-back.
Other options for United in the summer are thought to include Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, who currently finds himself in the midst of protracted contract talks with the London club.
Papastathopoulos has made a number of appearances for Greece at international level, collecting 78 senior caps for his country.
