Valencia have reportedly made an approach for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez, while also holding a meeting with the player's representatives.
The La Liga side are poised to lose leading marksman Roberto Soldado this summer if a club meets his £26m buyout clause.
With Solado wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, the Spanish club have actively begun their search for a replacement by asking United if they are prepared to part with Hernandez this summer, according to The People.
The 25-year-old has left his options open by not rejecting the enquiry off-hand, but is believed to be focused on fighting for a starting spot at Old Trafford next season.
Hernandez scored 18 goals in 36 appearances for United last season, despite having his first-team role restricted by the form of top scorer Robin van Persie.
