Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has vowed to "make the right decisions" when it comes to signing players this summer.
The Red Devils have received criticism for their transfer dealings over the last few seasons, often leaving it late to buy players and missing out on primary targets as a result.
However, Van Gaal has moved quickly to add Memphis Depay to his squad already this summer, while he has been linked with moves for the likes of Gareth Bale, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan as well.
When asked about his plans for next season, Van Gaal told reporters at the club's awards ceremony: "I can promise I can do my utmost best, that we shall fight to the end and more we cannot do.
"And that we make the right decisions when you purchase players and when players are leaving the club – it is a natural process – and that the fans are not forgetting that."
United could still finish third in the Premier League this season should they beat Hull City on the final day and Arsenal lose their last two matches of the season.
