Robin van Persie has insisted that his family will play a major role as he contemplates whether his future lies with Manchester United.
The Dutch striker has 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.
The 32-year-old is concerned that he may not get enough game time at United, particularly with Euro 2016 taking place next summer.
The Independent quotes Van Persie as saying: "That tournament [Euro 2016] is going to play a big role in the choice I will make. But most important is the wish of my wife and children.
"Whatever I do, my wife Bouchra and children Shaqueel and Dina Layla are the highest of my priorities. They have to be happy."
Van Persie was enjoying some down time earlier this week, catching a shark on a fishing holiday.
