Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has urged his teammate Wayne Rooney to stay at the club and share the glory.
Rooney's future at the club is still uncertain after he handed in a transfer request in the summer, partly due to the fact that the Dutchman is considered the number one striker at Old Trafford.
The England international has since returned to the starting lineup, alongside Van Persie, and the latter wants their partnership to continue.
"I am very pleased with how my partnership with Wayne is going," he told The Mirror. "We love to play together because we recognise that we are both very similar players.
"We are both all-round strikers. We have the ability to make a pass - which is what I love - and we can score goals. I love to play with Wayne because, for me, he has it all.
"I really think that if we keep growing, keep passing well to each other, then we can end up with a lot of goals this season, and I mean both of us."
Rooney and Van Persie will line up for United against rivals Manchester City tomorrow afternoon at 4pm.
