Raphael Varane has seemingly ruled out a move away from Manchester United this summer amid suggestions that the centre-back is wanted by Al-Ittihad.
The 30-year-old made the move to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, and he has represented the Red Devils on 65 occasions in all competitions.
Varane made 29 appearances during his first season with Man United before featuring 34 times during the 2022-23 campaign, helping the team to finish third in the Premier League table and win the EFL Cup.
The centre-back has played in both of his side's Premier League matches this season, meanwhile, netting the winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Monday.
There has recently been speculation surrounding Varane's future, with a number of Saudi Pro League clubs, including Al-Ittihad, said to be keen on a deal.
However, the Frenchman has seemingly denied that he will be leaving this summer with a post on his official Instagram account.
Meanwhile, amid the recent speculation, French journalist Julien Laurens took to Twitter to firmly deny suggestions that the defender could be on the move.
"I didn't think I needed to do this but the rumours are going too strong now! So, no Raphael Varane hasn't been contacted by any Saudi Arabian club. He is very happy at United and wouldn't want to leave even if one contacted him," posted Laurens on his official account.
Varane has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, having penned a four-year deal upon his arrival from Real Madrid.
The World Cup winner is once again the first choice centre-back at Man United this season alongside Lisandro Martinez, with Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire providing the back up.
Jonny Evans could potentially return to the club on a one-year deal to add further competition at the back, while Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo is also being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
A recent report claimed that Todibo is nearing a £34m switch to the 20-time English champions.
Man United will be aiming to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur when they continue their Premier League campaign at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. body check tags ::
