Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to offer Jack Grealish a contract worth in the region of £200,000 a week in order to convince the Englishman to commit his long-term future to the club.
The 25-year-old only signed a new £120,000-a-week deal at Villa Park last summer, and he has again been in impressive form this season, scoring seven times and contributing 12 assists in 22 outings in all competitions.
Manchester United were strongly linked with the England international last summer and are still thought to be interested in bringing him to Old Trafford at some stage in the future.
However, according to 90min, Villa's owners are preparing to fend off the 20-time English champions by offering Grealish a deal in the region of £200,000 a week.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City have also previously been linked with the playmaker, who has managed six goals and 12 assists in the Premier League this term.
Villa only just avoided relegation from the top flight in 2019-20 but are currently eighth in the Premier League table, just five points off fourth-placed Liverpool with a game in hand.
