West Ham United are reportedly planning to reignite their interest in Harry Maguire next year and could also move for his Manchester United teammate Anthony Martial.

The Hammers had an offer for Maguire accepted during the summer transfer window, but the England international ultimately decided against leaving Old Trafford.

The ex-Sheffield United youngster was again out of favour earlier this season, but he has worked his way into the side in recent matches, starting the team's last four games in all competitions.

Maguire, 30, has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, with the option of a further 12 months, but there remains speculation surrounding his long-term future.

Man United are expected to invest in another centre-back next year, potentially to play alongside Lisandro Martinez in the coming years, which could lead to Maguire moving on in the not too distant future.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Maguire remains of interest to West Ham, with David Moyes's side expected to make another attempt to sign him in 2024.

Galetti, in his column for Tribal Football, also claims that West Ham are interested in Martial, who could potentially be available on a free transfer next summer.

The 27-year-old's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, and although a further 12 months can be added to the deal, there have been suggestions that the forward may be allowed to depart on a free transfer.

Martial has been a regular for Man United this season, making 12 appearances in all competitions, but he has only found the back of the net on one occasion, in addition to registering one assist.

The former Monaco youngster netted against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup at the end of September but has not registered in eight Premier League outings.

Martial has only started twice in the league this term, though, with Rasmus Hojlund becoming the main centre-forward after recovering from a back problem.

The attacker has been with the 20-time English champions since September 2015, representing the club on 310 occasions in all competitions, scoring 89 goals and registering 54 assists in the process.

Martial has consistently been linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the last few years, and he was allegedly for sale over the summer, but the club did not receive any suitable offers.

West Ham are also believed to have made an attempt to sign Scott McTominay from Man United over the summer, but the Scotland international remained at Old Trafford. body check tags ::
