Wigan Athletic are on the verge of signing a young talent on loan, manager Owen Coyle has said.
The Latics have been linked with a move for Manchester United striker Will Keane, and Coyle's words to the club website suggest that it could be the 20-year-old who is about to switch to the DW Stadium.
"We're getting close without having it signed and sealed as we speak. We're certainly moving in the right direction to try and conclude that loan deal," said Coyle.
"Hopefully we'll have more news and know one way or the other by tomorrow."
Following relegation from the Premier League last season, Wigan are 10th in the Championship, two points off the top six with a game in hand on all the teams above them.
They host Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
