Portuguese winger Nani was visibly upset following his goal during Sporting Lisbon's clash against Gil Vicente last night.
The 28-year-old, who is on loan with his boyhood club from Manchester United, unleashed a powerful effort from 30 yards out that flew into the net, putting his side 2-0 up.
As he ran off to celebrate, Nani sunk to his knees with his tears in his eyes, before he was mobbed by his teammates.
Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, the attacker said: "It was a goal like any other. I received the ball, saw the goal, shot and I was lucky.'
"I thought about myself and everything that I have gone through. It's personal stuff that nobody knows about."
