Adam Murray has become the youngest manager in the Football League after being appointed as the new boss of Mansfield Town.
The League Two outfit, who parted company with Paul Cox last month, initially installed Murray in a caretaker role but after he won two of his three games in charge, the decision was made to hand the midfielder the position on a permanent basis.
The 33-year-old told the club's official website: "After much thought and consideration, I feel the time is right for me to take this step into management.
"I'm excited about this challenge and new adventure and I believe I have the knowledge, ability and contacts throughout the game to be successful. This is the proudest day of my career to date."
Murray will take Mansfield to play Cambridge United in the FA Cup second round on Saturday afternoon.
