Marseille manager Elie Baup has expressed his delight after winning their opening match of the season at Guingamp on Sunday.
A Dimitri Payet brace inside 16 minutes after Andre-Pierre Gignac had opened the scoring helped L'OM to a 3-1 win at the Stade du Roudourou.
Despite the win, Baup feels that his side should have put the game beyond doubt before half time.
"The game started well for us. We had secured a 3-0 [lead] in no time at all and that was important," Baup told reporters.
"We could even have scored a fourth or fifth goal in the first half. The second half was certainly more difficult. We left more space for the opposition to play.
"There are still a lot of things to work on but it is great to have scored three goals in our opening game."
