Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that his side did not deserve to lose to Nice following their recent 2-1 defeat at the hands of Claude Puel's men.
Goals from Romain Genevois and Niklas Hult cancelled out an attempt from Florian Thauvin as Marseille's Ligue 1 title bid suffered a blip on Friday night.
"We did enough to win the game, and we should have scored more goals," Bielsa said after the game, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"The team's intentions were good, and our ideas were too. I admire our opponents, who played for 35 minutes with ten men and never stopped attacking. Against Montpellier, our shortcomings were clear, but I don't think we deserved to lose this game.
"My team created ten chances, our opponents four, two of which came from set-pieces. The balance of play was in our favour, we put in the effort required. The explanation is the same as in many matches: avoidable things keep happening."
The result leaves Marseille sitting in second place in the Ligue 1 table, one point behind current leaders Lyon.
