Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that his team is making progress following their 4-0 victory over Nice on Friday night.
OM recorded their second league win of the season as a brace from Dimitri Payet saw them on the way to a crushing win at the Stade Velodrome, which left their coach praising his players for their teamwork.
"The team is making progress. We played more football and the winning margin proves our superiority," Bielsa told reporters.
"Dimitri Payet played an important role and was decisive in scoring twice. Defending well does not just depend on the defenders but on the efforts of the team as a whole. Compared to Guingamp [a 1-0 win last week], we conceded a few more chances and had Nice scored it would not have been undeserved.
"The atmosphere in the stadium was excellent and the team responded well to the fans."
Former French champions Marseille currently occupy fifth spot in the Ligue 1 table.
