Marseille centre-back Lucas Mendes has admitted that he is pleased with his and his teammates' form recently that has helped the side go nearly 700 minutes without conceding a Ligue 1 goal.
Mendes said that he intends to keep improving, but has been encouraged at how quickly he has adapted to another country since joining from Brazil in the summer.
"There are still things I can improve upon but for someone who's come in from abroad what I have done is encouraging," Ligue1.com quotes Mendes as saying. "I've been consistent in my displays and playing more and more often, which has helped.
"I hope OM will finish second. That depends on us. Two wins in the last three games will ensure we finish second. There's a seven-point gap to Paris Saint-Germain with three games.
"The main objective is to qualify directly for the Champions League group stage. If PSG lose their three games and we win all of ours then we'll be champions, but that's unlikely."
Marseille host Toulouse on Saturday in their next league game.
