Marseille playmaker Dimitri Payet has insisted that his team is growing in confidence after beating Nice 4-0 on Friday night.

Payet was able to grab a brace at the Stade Velodrome, while Florian Thauvin and Abdel Barrada also got in on the act to secure OM their second win of the Ligue 1 campaign.

"We are growing in confidence every week. At Guingamp it was the first time that we had performed the way we want to," Payet told reporters after the game.

"Tonight we were better in every department, in attack and in defence. I am very pleased to have scored. It was OM's first goal at the new Velodrome so it will stay in people's memories."

Marseille's win has seen them climb into fifth position in the Ligue 1 table.
