Algerian international Foued Kadir has revealed his delight at signing for boyhood club Marseille.
The 29-year-old has now completed his move from Valenciennes by inking a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Stade Velodrome.
Kadir, who has won 15 caps for his country, said that joining Les Phoceens is the realisation of a "childhood dream".
"I'm simply very happy and very proud," Ligue1.com quotes the midfielder as saying. "I've fulfilled a childhood dream. I used to come to the Stade Velodrome with my dad, I've always supported OM.
"I'm joining a team which plays to finish near the top of the table and plays in Europe every season. There are super players here.
"My aim is to make the next step up, and I think I can do that with the players here."
Kadir made his international debut against the Republic of Ireland in 2010.
