A report claims that Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign Valencia midfielder Ever Banega at the end of the season.

Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly keen to sign Valencia midfielder Ever Banega at the end of the season.

The Argentine, who is currently on loan at Newell's Old Boys from Valencia, is widely regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in European football.

However, a host of off-the-field issues and injury concerns have stunted the 25-year-old's progress over the last couple of seasons.

According to Sport, Bielsa is keen on bringing the midfielder to France and will bid in the region of £7m to secure his services.

Banega has just one year remaining on his current deal.
