Mexico and South Korea fought to a 0-0 draw in their opening match of the 2012 Olympics this afternoon.
Neither side threatened the opposition's goalkeeper in the first half, with Mexico struggling to find the killer pass despite getting into a number of good attacking positions.
South Korea were experiencing similar problems, although they perhaps had the best of a bad bunch in terms of potential chances.
The second half began in much the same way that the first had ended, with neither side looking like breaking the deadlock.
Chances were few and far between throughout the half as neither side looked likely to provide the cutting edge required to get the opener until the final minute when Giovani dos Santos squandered by far the best chance of the match.
Next up for Mexico is a fixture against Gabon on Sunday, while Korea face Switzerland later that same day.
