Barry Robson has said that his Man of the Match award for Middlesbrough's 1-1 FA Cup draw with Sunderland was "bittersweet".
Robson put Boro ahead after 15 minutes, but allowed Sunderland sub Fraizer Campbell to equalise in the second half with a sloppy backpass.
"It is a bittersweet story for me," Robson said.
"I had the simple task of passing the ball back but it was a bit of slackness by me.
"But we have got the replay to look forward to and I think we can still win it."
Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray was quick to defend the 33-year-old, saying: "Barry doesn't need to apologise.
"He came into the dressing room and chucked the champagne in the bin — but I don't think he drinks anyway."
The teams will meet again at the Riverside Stadium.
