Victor Valdes has revealed that he is "very proud" to have been signed by Middlesbrough.
The 34-year-old had been available on a free transfer this summer after leaving Manchester United, and talk of a move to Boro gathered pace at the start of the week.
The two-year deal was confirmed by the newly-promoted Premier League club on Thursday afternoon and the former Barcelona goalkeeper has revealed that he cannot wait to begin "a new challenge".
Valdes joined Man United in January 2015, but only made two first-team appearances for the Red Devils before moving to Standard Liege on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.
