MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has claimed that they have the momentum in the League One promotion race following their 6-1 victory over Leyton Orient.
The result sees the Dons move to within a point of the automatic promotion places following a day when only one of the top six teams won.
Second-placed Preston North End failed to beat Port Vale on Friday, despite playing against 10 men for the last half hour.
"I think it was important that on the back of the Preston game that we understood the enormity of the challenge," Robinson told Sky Sports News. "I believe we're the only team in the top six to have won so we go onwards and hopefully upwards.
"Swindon have got a big job to do now, but we can only manage what we do - but if we end up on 91 points and don't go up, I think that would be remarkable.
"But we can't have Preston in our mindset, if we're playing like this in the playoffs no one will want to play us."
MK Dons have never played in the Championship since being founded in 2004.
