Former England international Matthew Upson has signed a one-year deal with MK Dons.
The 36-year-old defender was a free agent after being released by Leicester City this summer.
MK boss Karl Robinson believes that Upson will bring valuable experience as the Dons prepare for their first season back in the Championship.
"We've got ourselves an experienced defender who has played in the World Cup and the Premier League," Robinson told the club website. "I think having good leaders around the place is important."
Before his move to Leicester a year ago, Upson was one of the Championship's most consistent performers in defence, appearing in 44 league games for Brighton & Hove Albion as they reached the playoffs in 2014.
