Carlo Ancelotti says that he is pleased with Paris Saint-Germain's display against Montpellier in their 1-1 draw.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has hailed his side's "spirit" against Montpellier away from home on Sunday.

The Parisian outfit played most of the match against the defending French champions with 10 men after Mamadou Sakho was sent off in the ninth minute, but still earned a 1-1 draw.

"It was a hard game," said Ancelotti. "After the red card we showed a lot of intensity, energy and organisation.

"We played as a team. It's a draw but the team spirit was good.''

PSG are ahead of Marseille on goal difference at the top of the league standings.
