Montpellier HSC coach Rolland Courbis has said that he is proud of both his players and staff following the club's recent 2-1 victory over Marseille in Ligue 1.
Montpellier earned three points against the league leaders after goals from Kevin Berigaud and Paul Lasne were enough to see them past a solitary effort from Marseille youngster Billel Omrani.
"It was a good performance at a time when we have been having a difficult run of fixtures, because we finished the year against Paris and then started this one against Marseille," Courbis told reporters after the game.
"These matches have allowed us to verify the progress we have made in recent weeks.
"Along with the staff, I am proud of our players. We still have 18 matches left in which to build on the good performance this evening."
The win sees Montpellier sitting in eighth position in the Ligue 1 table.
