Montpellier HSC coach Rene Girard has said that his team will not stop fighting to be crowned champions of France.
It has been a surprising season for La Pallaide, who currently find themselves top of Ligue 1, level on points with Paris Saint-Germain but ahead on goal difference.
Girard said that although their mega-rich counterparts have been the best team this season, his players will not give up the fight.
"There is no question that Paris have the best squad in the league. We know why and how it happened, and logically, they are the favourites to take the title," the 57-year-old told www.ligue1.com. "But that doesn't mean that we'll give up. I know that everyone wants us to say that we're aiming at the title.
"Listen, we'll see in May whether we're still in the running for the last two matches, one point behind or in front. Then I'll tell you that we're aiming at the title because it'll be decided in the last two games.
"Now we're still too far out to say anything one way or the other."
Girard has been in charge at the Stade de la Mosson since 2009.
