Montpellier have closed the gap at the top of Ligue 1 back to one point with a 3-0 win at home to Caen.
Karim Ait Fana had an early effort saved for the home side, while Remy Cabella nearly found the opener on 19 minutes when his drive smashed back off the bar.
The deadlock was broken soon after the restart thanks to Karim Ait Fana's 51st-minute strike.
Montpellier dominated for the remainder of the match, but Olivier Giroud and Cabella were both wayward with their efforts.
Their lead was doubled in the 83rd minute thanks to Souleymane Camara's drive.
The win was sealed in injury time when Giroud swept home from the penalty spot.
