Motherwell boss Ian Baraclough has praised his side after seeing them ease their relegation worries with a 5-0 hammering of fellow strugglers St Mirren.
The Steelmen moved 10 points clear of bottom-placed St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership table last night as they recorded a comfortable victory at Fir Park Stadium.
Baraclough now hopes that his team can push on and climb further up the table in the coming weeks.
"It was important we got the win to take us 10 points clear, it makes it very difficult hopefully for them to catch us," he told Sky Sports News. "Our eyes are up above us and we'll try to drag one or two closer to us.
"All eyes are on ourselves and Ross County now who are winning, so maybe the teams above should be looking over their shoulder. The lads haven't had a day off, we're fully concentrated, we know what's required, and everybody is going in the right direction."
Motherwell continue their fight for survival on Saturday when they make the trip to Partick Thistle.
