Former York City striker Wes Fletcher has completed a move to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.
The 24-year-old scored seven goals in 32 appearances for the Minstermen last season, but was released by the League Two club in May.
He will replace John Sutton, who has joined St Johnstone on a pre-contract agreement.
"I am delighted to be here and play in this great league. I've already met the players and I am just looking forward to getting started," Fletcher told the club's official website.
"I'm a player who will work hard and I know where the goal is and if I get the service, I hope to score as many as I can. I've asked for the number nine jersey as I like the pressure of expectations. I know the previous player wearing that number (Sutton) scored a lot, so my target is to not only match that, but get more."
Fletcher, who had spells with Manchester United, Liverpool and Burnley as a youngster, has agreed a one-year deal with Ian Baraclough's side.
