FC Twente striker Luuk de Jong has said that brother Siem deserves his place in the Holland national team for the European Championships.
De Jong, whose brother helped Amsterdam outfit Ajax to secure the Eredivisie title this season, admits that the competition in midfield in Bert van Marwijk's side is "enormous", but claims that Siem is like no other member of the team.
"It's good for Siem," De Jong told Goal.com. "It's well deserved. In his position, the competition is enormous. But who knows who the coach will take?
"He's a different type of player to the other one in his position. In any case I like it. I'd like to play alongside him for the national team."
Siem de Jong has made over 100 appearances at Ajax.
